This Is Not a Diary
I’ve been toying with the idea of writing a blog for a couple of months. I’ve wanted to get back into writing – I used to keep a diary when I was in school, but stopped writing consistently in college. However, I keep telling myself that this is not a diary. I don’t plan on writing every day or telling my day to day activities. It would sound a lot like this: “Dear Diary, Today I got up, worked out, went to work, came home, and watched TV. Also, I did a sudoku. Until next time, Kelly”.
I’ve decided I’m going through a quarter life crisis and need a little something to get me going and excited again. Long story short, I’ve made a list of 24 things I want to do this year and plan on using this blog to document my success. 24 is my favorite number and I happen to be turning 24 this year in February, but I’m giving myself an extra month to get started on my list! I’m calling it #24In24 and I will use that hashtag on my twitter account (@kellygoerdt). I have visions of this blog becoming a great adapted screenplay and gaining tons of success (Julie/Julia, anyone?) but in reality, I think I’ll have one consistent reader (shout out to my mother).
Once again, this is not a diary, this is a quarter life crisis. This is also not:
▪ a foodie blog
▪ a place to write vaguely about drama, (let’s save that for Facebook)
▪ a workout blog
▪ a place to copy and paste motivational quotes.
Mostly it will be filled with an excessive amount of commas and some pictures of my #24In24 campaign.
Thanks for stopping by. Until next time…
